Swaddle

My baby is 1 month old and he absolutely hates having his arms in his swaddle but I have heard swaddling could help get longer stretches of sleep. After the first few days of being home we stopped swaddling his arms in. I’m wondering if i should start fully swaddling him again? Any idea or experience of it making a difference?
