Vaginal tightness

So recently my vagina has become super tight. Like virgin tight. My boyfriend have had consistent sex for the past nine months and never had an issue. All of a sudden sex is painful and he says it feels almost as if my vagina is flexing. I haven’t been doing an kegels and I’m definitely turned on when we have sex. Idk what to do. Could it be my birth control?
