I’m officially off birth control so we can start trying for baby #2. I have PCOS and it took a year and 1 round of clomid to get pregnant with my daughter. We want our babies close in age and want to go ahead and start trying in case it takes a year again.

I wasn’t going to start looking for another job until after we had our second baby, but a friend recommended me for an open position at her company. I did the first interview and have the second one tomorrow. It looks promising. It’ll be permanently remote, more money, and less stress.

I’m just debating on if we should hold off on trying for another baby until I’m a few months in with the new job, hold off on switching jobs, or just see what happens with taking the new job and ttc.

Has anyone started a a new job and got pregnant soon after? Can you share your experience and how you handled it? I just feel bad putting a burden on the company after only being there a short period of time.

ETA: I’m in the US and the company is small. Also, my current employer technically didn’t have maternity leave. I used my short term disability and my job was protected under FMLA.
