How long into a relationship do people usually say “I love you” for the first time

Idk why this is such a big deal to some people that their s/o says I love you “too soon” don’t you already love a person first if your willing to be in a relationship with them?? Is that just me?

Just wondering cause my cousin called me freaking out saying her bf of 6 months said he loves her and she didn’t know how to respond now she doesn’t wanna talk to him and wants to break up bc he’s moving too fast and they haven’t been together for a year yet.

I don’t understand, she seems like she loves him!! I really thought she did. If you don’t love someone why would you be in a relationship with them? They’re already having sex maybe it’s just me but I wouldn’t be able to have sex with someone I don’t love. I wouldn’t even be able to get wet I HAVE to love them or I am unable to be sexually attracted.

Any way, how long do most couples wait before the first “I love you” ?
