Forward facing?

Question

Anyone forward facing now that our June babies are/have turned two? We’re still rear facing and while visiting family we’re told “why don’t you forward face since she’s two?”  I know it’s still safer for her and she is small for her age (in 18 month clothes that are too big in the waist) so really am not in a rush, just wondering if anyone has switched over yet and what everyone’s thoughts are.

Clearly I’m the unpopular opinion here but... we are forward facing! Have been for a few months now 🤷‍♀️ car rides are far better now. She even asks to keep driving. Just do what you feel is right for you family

I'd always said she will rear face until she is 2 but now that's almost here We will be rear facing until she complains or turns 4 🤷🏼‍♀️ she doesn't know any different and it's safest 🤷🏼‍♀️😊 in england the law is 15months so i have been getting comments about it for a while 🙄

Probably an unpopular opinion, but we’ve been forward facing for about a year our laws here are: are at least 1 year of age weigh 9 to 30 kg (22 to 65 lb.) & can walk unassisted. So based on our car insurance issuer, and our general practitioner and paediatrician we’ve been forward facing for about a year now. I’ve noticed the car/motion sickness has been better, she sleeps less in the car which is so helpful for bedtime, and she’s chattier which has been nice. I know it’s not what’s best for everyone and everyone will probably have a different opinion, I’m just doing what everyone else local does. I had no idea some parents keep their kids rear facing past one. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Marcus and I haven’t been able to agree on this topic so we’re rear facing in my car and forward facing in his. We mostly drive my car for family outings so we’re mostly rear facing.

I'm keeping Ava rear facing until she reaches the max size/weight for rear facing as the manufacturer of her carseat and my friend who is an er nurse recommends very strongly

Still rear facing for now. Had to use the truck yesterday and the car seat can only forward face in the truck the front seats the bars are broken so the don’t slide forward that’s been the only exception.

I wanted to keep Westley refacing until he maxed out, but lately it seems he’s been getting car sick and throwing up on drives so we are reconsidering and thinking about forward facing him in the middle seat. I was going to mention it to his pediatrician because I don’t exactly know how else to help with car sickness. 😅

We are forward facing. My big little guy switched at 18 months. At that point he was 34inches and 33lbs. My husband couldn't sit comfortably with a rear facing child behind him so we had to flip him since we had a rear facing baby behind me. Before we did we talked to the doctor and she was okay with it since victors size and neck strength. Do what is right for your family.
