Nexplanon

Idk if this counts as tmi, im just really needing some help. So I want to get the nexplanon but I have read a lot of bad things and it has started psyching me out of getting it but I am really forgetful with my birth control pills and I have had 2 scares in the past year because I am trying to avoid getting pregnant as I am turning 18 in 2 months and am not prepared to have a kid yet. I have only had 1 partner in my life and only plan on the one, so can I get some honest truths about nexplanon and some advice, because I'm already a bit freaked out by the implantation process, but thats something I can get over, it's the side effects I'm afraid of, so please help if you could.
