Pork while pregnant?

My sister told me i can’t eat any kind of pork while pregnant, but I can’t find anywhere why I can’t obviously unless it’s under cooked? Can I eat pork while pregnant?

Pork is fine. Personally I would only listen to what my doctor tells me and take other people's advice with a pinch of salt. It seems that when you become pregnant everyone around you is suddenly an expert 😂

Pork is full of protein which you need a lot of in pregnancy.
You’re not as limited as people tend to think just because you’re pregnant. You can have pork, you can have cold cuts, you can have cheese, you can have pizza, you can have basically everything you could before, just in moderation.

I had the biggest pork aversion, though, that lasted the entire pregnancy. Made me sick every time I ate it.

You just have to avoid undercooked stuff because it has a higher chance of foodborne illness, but pork should be fully cooked anyways, so go for it🐷👍

I’ve eaten it with both my pregnancies. Just like any other meat you just have to make sure it’s cooked properly.
