WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR DO I SEE!!!?

Question

Do I see a obgyn?
Or fertility specialist? Maybe not- I just see like IUI'S AND IVF
I just want a doctor to see why I'm having all these miscarriages like maybe my uterine lining is too thin ?
But idk of I see a reg obgyn because they're so general.. last time she just checked my progesterone and prolactin hormones but only cus I mentioned it what the heck

You need a specialist. Sometimes you need a referral for that and have to start with an obgyn. I would find a fertility clinic you like and see how to get in there. You are past the point of obgyn care at this point.

It sort of depends on what kinds of providers are in the office you see. My office has 10 (about it be 11) providers, with a variety of MD, WHNP, PA, etc. so we see all kinds of OB/GYN patients with all sorts of problems, concerns, and goals. We have one WHNP in the office that, while she also sees regular OB and routine GYN, we also refer all TTC women that have been trying more than 6 cycles to, and she checks all the usual bloodwork, uterine lining, etc and creates a plan suited to each woman and her partner. She will also test the partner for sperm validity as well. You need someone that does what she does, but not knowing where you’re from/what providers you have available to you, it’s hard to tell you where to go/who to look for. If you have access to other people in your area who were/are TTC, that would be my go to because people talk about successful fertility docs! If not, maybe start with your OB and ask if it may be time to discuss hormone levels, uterine lining, partner testing, etc to get to the root cause of your issue. If she doesn’t seem to know, or seems like she isn’t willing, ask her if you need to be referred to a specialist. 
Another note - depending on what kind of insurance you have..some insurances don’t require a referral for a specialist. Check into your insurance and see, you may not even need your OB to refer you.

you can see an obgyn like a different one for a different opinion or a hematologist to check for clotting issues since blood clotting issues lead to miscarriages for a lot of women. i don’t need any referrals i can just simply choose any doctor & go but that’s because of my insurance plan so make sure to check in what type of insurance you have so you can better see what your options are. some ppl can only really see an ob and request referrals but some obs will not refer you somewhere if they dont think is necessary so make sure you check your insurance plan
