My 3 week old has serious reflux. He was prescribed baby Pepcid this past Tuesday. Doc said give it 5-6 days to kick in. It seemed like my son was getting a little better, but since last night into today, it has gotten extremely worse.

He is spitting up through his nose & mouth about 7 times today and will scream bloody murder for 10 mins afterwards. He spits up during every single feed day and night.

I called the on call doctor yesterday evening when I noticed things had gotten worse. She said he’s fine if he has 1 wet diaper every 4-6 hours. Which he does. And to continue giving him his meds. Which I am.

But I am literally staring at him while he’s screaming in pain after EVERY feed.

Should I be getting a second opinion??? Has anyone else experienced this?? We can’t change his formula for another 2 weeks either.
