Adult tear duct surgery?

Has anyone had tear duct surgery as an adult that they would like to talk to me about? I’ve had reoccurring blocked tear ducts in my right eye since I was a child. I’ve always been able to unblock them myself with warm compresses but this time it’s just not budging. I had an ophthalmologist try to irrigate the duct and it would just come back out the opposite end (upper or lower depending) rather than draining down my sinuses. I’m currently waiting for a surgical consultation but that’s not scheduled until August 2nd and this has been ongoing since April 14th. I’m honestly tired of it and also super stressed about surgery.

Anyone have experience?
