Should I tell my family I’m getting a small tattoo ?

I am 25 years old. This will be my first tattoo. I still live at home with my mom. 
I have an appointment to get a small tattoo on my shoulder on Thursday. I am going by myself. I haven’t told anyone about it yet. 
My mom has tattoos that she got when she was younger but she regrets them. And I think she will try to talk me out of getting one and say negative things. 
But I also know she’s say something negative when I show up with a tattoo..  
Do you guys think I should tell my family or no?

It’s none of their business what you do with your body. My parents didn’t know about my tattoos for years. I didn’t necessarily try to hide them, but they’re not in places my family would see often. They got over it pretty quickly. I mean I was in my late 20s before they knew, what were they going to do about it?
