Hormone free!

Ladies, I went to my on/gyn yesterday and got my hormonal IUD removed after only 20 months. I have developed severe hormonal acne that I never had issues with before, had constant pelvic pain, worsening anxiety, developed hypertrichosis and LDL cholesterol problems and have had the worst cramps of my life.

Today is the first time in forever that I finally feel grounded and actually happy?!! I don’t feel the need to unalive and I’m much less anxious! I think that this IUD really messed me up!

I do however want to be on birth control. What are y’all’s experiences with the copper IUD? Is it more painful that the hormonal one? How bad were your symptoms with it? Did anyone get it before they had children?
