Thrush or milk tongue??

Question

9 days old and EBF and I noticed this white on the back of her tongue today. I looked on her gums and tip of tongue and those aren’t white but there is some white on her upper lip. We have a wellness check up tomorrow so I’ll ask her pediatrician then but in the mean time I was wondering if any other mamas have seen this and it not be thrush? I tried wiping it with a paper towel since it was near me but haven’t tried with a damp cloth because she’s asleep right now. I don’t have any pain or itchiness in my nipples either.

If you wiped it and it didn’t come off it is probably thrush. If she gets diagnosed with thrush make sure you contact your doctor too and get something to treat yourself or you’ll just pass it back and forth.

I'm obviously don't know and think it's a good idea to bring it to her drs attention, but my newborn constantly looked like she had thrush but she/we never did and her tongue looked like hers, so based off that I voted milk tongue.. but again I don't know

My daughter had oral thrush but my boobs/nipples showed no sign of thrush. They both medicated us so the infection could be gone

I’m not sure but I’m so paranoid about wverythign that if I wasn’t sure I always sent a picture to her dr through an online portal we had for her dr office
