Do I let her cry it out?
Right now my almost 5 and a half year old is screaming her head off in her room. She begged for months for a big girl makeover, with a bunk bed. We spent at least a thousand dollars on a bunk bed, dresser, etc.
Tonight for the first time she ventured to the top bunk. She immediately starts crying she doesn’t want to be up there. Okay, we help her down to the bottom.
Then she starts wailing and screeching she hates her bunk bed, she hates her room, she hates the top bunk. I tell her shes on the bottom and to stop screeching as it’s late and we have a baby.
She continues screaming. We both try settling her. I try distracting her, hugging her, nothing works. I tell her to be quiet, she screams “I’m still going to cry!!!!!!!!” Now shes screeching in the night and still wailing from her room.
She is full on throwing a tantrum and and keeps screeching and calling for us. I’m worried about noise complaints but also I don’t want to keep going in there a thousand times for her to scream at me.
Do I let her cry it out or go in there for the millionth time?
