Moisturizer and spf order -skin gurus!

Ok, hopefully I can word this correctly.

At night I use CeraVe cream. When I wake up in the morning I usually do nothing and put my moisturizer with spf on. I’m wondering if the cream from the night before creates a seal that keeps my spf from sinking in and absorbing?

If I do need to wash my face in the morning to remove that barrier, I would then need to layer my cream and spf after.

I know the rule usually goes spf as the last step, but since I need my spf to absorb can I use the CeraVe cream on top of the spf or will I be diluting it and not getting adequate protection?

Ha, it shouldn’t be this complicated but I’m confused 🤔😁
