I’m mailing out invites since most of my friends and my moms friends don’t use Facebook or go on it regularly. Also most of my family doesn’t have Facebook. It just makes more sense for me to have physical invites. My husband made them and printed them out at Staples. Lol

I ordered some on etsy that were customizable and mailed or dropped them off. I’ve received email, text, e-vites and phone calls for kids birthdays as well. Do whatever makes sense to you and the people your inviting (i.e. if you’re inviting some folks who don’t use social media or technology consider cards for them).

That’s how my MIL did it last year for my oldest’s 1st birthday party. Weird though because my husband and I don’t have FB. 😂

I sent an email invite and printed one for my grandpa since he doesn’t have a computer. Did the same thing for our son’s last three birthdays. Never had anyone say anything negative and my mom would be the first to tell me if it was poor form.

Ok. I said it is acceptable ... But actually it depends. Probably who your friends are and how the customs in your area are.
At least in my area, most invitationa go online either Facebook or e-mail, or a phone call. The only time I have had a paper invitation in like 15 years was for a wedding.
