*update*Induction process 39w3d

Came into L&D this morning at 6:45 am and started with a pill (vaginally) to help dilate and soften my cervix since I was just a centimeter along.. around 1 o’clock I was checked and still hadn’t made any progress down there :(
Contractions were too consistent to try to insert another pill so they started me on Pitocin drip. Pitocin was administered around 2 pm and has been increased, but, it was discovered I have preeclampsia so they laid off it. They said I was having too many contractions?
We are seeing if I dilated any more in a few hours & that will help to determine if they will let me keep laboring or if in the morning if they are going to take me back for a c section. So frustrating when you’re body doesn’t do what you want it to… :( …. I’m so ready to meet my son I don’t even care how it happens at this point.
I can hear other mamas babies crying in L&D and it is getting me choked up 🥺
Good luck to all the other mamas.

Okay ladies. I did it! I was taken for induction 6/16 due to my pelvic issues and that baby was supposed to be over 8lbs. I’m very petite so that alone was a concern. My body did not want to progress. The induction took four days, the epidural only took on my right side, I was stuck at a 9 1/2 for 2 hours, pushed for 4 more hours, had third degree tears 😅 but low and behold my sweet baby boy came out… weighing 5lbs 14oz and 20 3/4 inches long!! Talk about being way off the predicted weight LOL.
During all this it was discovered I developed preclampsia so it was good I was already there to be induced. BP was in the 165s but was managed with medication and the high BP went away when I delivered….
Flash forward to 5 days later... I feel horrible. Check my BP And it is 165/104. I was told to go back to L&D. When I got there it was 187/83… so now I have “severe postpartum preclampsia” and I was admitted again with my little man and husband. Not being able to get out of bed or do anything to help your newborn while in the hospital is soooo hard. Luckily we were discharged today and now we are home. Hopefully the BP is manageable with blood pressure meds.
Even though the labor was very hard and these last few days have been equally hard and scary, I would do it all over again for my baby JJ.
You guys can do literally anything you put your mind to! Good luck to all future laboring mamas!!!
