Why are my boobs hurting already

Had my HSG done two weeks ago and ovulated two days ago boobs are already hurting even though my period is 12 days away anybody else had this issue￼
UPDATE ! Boobs got progressively sore each day & heavy now too,  8 days to AF I dunno 🤷‍♀️ what to think 🤔 now lol

The hormone progesterone surges shortly after you ovulate and can cause achey boobs, sore nipples, light cramping, and indeed many of the symptoms women often mistake for early signs of pregnancy. Totally normal what you are experiencing and a good sign that you ovulated and your progesterone levels are sufficiently high

My nipples always hurt right after ovulation, but this can also change month to month for the same person (ie one month it was my whole breast with tingling also).
