Guess who's pregnant? ...not me.

Question

My husband and I went to church today and had a couple pray for us. We've been TTC since July but this will be our first cycle trying OPKs. I honestly thought we'd be pregnant by now (no one tells you that it's not easy). Well I was very emotional and crying. Afterwards I was in the restroom and a mom of a girl I used to know saw me and decided to tell me that her daughter is pregnant! I mean I'm very happy for them but am kinda like... great to hear... so are two other acquaintances that my family knows, and my cousin, and my best friend- who is pregnant with twins! It's all very exciting and hard at the same time. I feel like the stork missed my house or something. Today's CD 4 and I'm reading "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and have my OPKs ready. Baby dust to all!

We have also been ttc #1 since July 2015. Ttc has actually made me dislike going to church. We were getting comments and questions about why we don't have children every Sunday and Wednesday. The pastor even made a comment about us needing to have children during his sermon one Sunday. Needless to say, we don't go there any more and are looking for a new church. Just couldn't take it anymore when they didn't let up after 7 months.

Yes!!! I know this feeling so well. I have been trying for a year. I know God has a plan but it is soo hard to keep hearing "it will happen" or in God's time". Those just don't help. But these have helped me a little this cycle. I still have hard times and I hate hearing pregnancy announcements.

Keep in mind that it can take a healthy couple anywhere from 6-12 months to be able to conceive. It's only been 5 months. There's nothing wrong, it'll happen when it's supposed to.

I totally feel you. My husband and have been ttc for 6 years.  Sometimes I don't want to go to church in fear of pregnancy announcements. We have 2 in a row last year.  Haven't had any so far lately.  At least that have been up in the open. I'm just waiting for it though. Prayers and baby dust to you🌌
