Hi, I’m 16 and I am sexually active but we use condoms, however I am still scared of getting pregnant. Because of these fears, I want to find a way to get on birth control without my mom knowing, bc she won’t allow me to get it.

most women’s centers, or planned parenthood’s have free/low cost BC, and they typically don’t require parental permission ! you could always have a friend drive you to the closest facility :)

i’m PRETTY sure if you go to a planned parenthood location they can give you info and bc without parental consent? your best bet is definitely to go to a women’s center, like planned parenthood or other places like that. i know there’s some online that have discreet packaging, but i’m not too sure on how legit they are. definitely just do some research in a private tab (so it won’t be in your history) and pick your best option.

I got it at that age but told my mom I was having bad periods and it would help manage them(it did that too).

Like the other ladies said, women's centers or PP are the best bet. I highly suggest getting an IUD or the arm implant as you don't have to hide containers and you can go years without having to change it or renew a prescription. Best of luck and I'm beyond proud of you for being so responsible and mature about your personal health
