4 year old’s right eye goes cross-sided ?

Last night I noticed that my daughters right eye goes cross eyed sometimes. Maybe when she is focusing too hard ? She snaps out of it and it seems like she is aware of what she’s doing. Its happened when I’m taking a picture of her, when she’s watching tv or I’m talking to her and she’s just staring at me. Has anyone experienced this? She had her eye exam done months ago and 100% passed it. Just concerned of what exactly it is. I will bring it up to her pediatrician but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this.

Kinda sounds like Strabismus. I don’t have experience with it personally but I help perform strabismus surgeries on children. Usually they try eyeglasses to fix it. If that doesn’t work they’ll try eye drops or an eye patch like the other lady said below. If those don’t work they may suggest surgery. Most kids go home the same day.

Same thing has happened to me my whole life. They tried to fix it by making me wear an eye patch a few hours a day when I was young.
33 years old now, and whenever I hyperfocus on something or get obnoxiously tired, it still turns in to this day!

See a pediatric ophthalmologist ASAP. My oldest son had one eye that would cross. He could pass basic vision screening at dr because he could “see” the pictures to identify. We luckily saw specialist by six years old, had to get glasses and patch his good eye to make the one with difficulty correct itself. They said if we had found it a few years later could’ve been too late to fix by patching. We did three months of patching all day, three months of patching eight hours a day, three months four hours a day, then last three months two hours a day. We did it super religiously and then he just wore glasses a few more years. Now he’s a teenager and one eye near sighted one far sighted. He can self adjust well without glasses so only uses them for reading long periods in school or working on computer.

Optometrist here: sounds like you need to go back to the eye doc or optometrist. Did they find any refractive errors at all? Was she given the dilation drops?
