Who else's baby is only taking ONE solid nap a day?

Question

We do wake up fairly late, around 9 am and then I feed him and put him back down for another 1.5 hrs or so. But when when he wakes up and I put him back to sleep after an hour of awake time he takes a nap that is here and there (wakes up after 45 min, needs to be rocked back to sleep). And then when he does wake up around 3ish he can't take another nap! I'm lucky if he sleeps for 30 minutes. What the heck!?

My daughter is 11 weeks. Sleeps long at night but doesn’t nap well. She cat naps and takes one long nap. Maybe 3 total 30-45 min naps and a long nap 1.5-2 hours after lunch which I top up with a feed and swaddle her for. It works for our schedule since my 2 year old also naps after lunch.

For babies under 3 months nap range from 20minutes to 2hours. Sounds like your baby is taking a normal infant nap! Naps start to lengthen after 3-4 months of age once they change their sleep cycles (and have their 3-4 month sleep regression!).

My babe is almost 8 weeks and sleeps really good at night but prolly only takes 3-4 45 minute naps through the day. I think it’s normal!
