Can you reuse a car seat?

So if you buy an infant carseat, and are planning to have more kids can you reuse the infant carseat, or is it considered unsafe after the first child? Like are you supposed to buy a new car seat for every child? 🤔 Obviously if there's been a wreck/damage you would replace.

Check the expiration date, if there has been any recalls, if it actually fits the car(s) you are using atm. If everything is ok, and you have stored it correctly there shouldn't be a problem.

No, you don’t need a new car seat for every child. As long as it hasn’t been in an accident, it’s not expired, and there aren’t any recalls, it’s fine to use. 
I don’t know how a child being in a car seat would ruin it. 😭

100%. If the car seat is not expired and was never in an accident I would use that sucker until the expiration date. I’ve been able to borrow infant seats from trusted friends/family members. They are too expensive to toss after 1 kid! I’m also donating a toddler seat to the women’s shelter and would encourage others to do so with seats that are still safe.

As long as it hasn’t expired, go for it. We used the same infant carrier car seat for both our kids because they were only 2 years apart.

My kids are 2 yrs apart, so we are using it with every child as it hasn't expired nor been in any accidents (thank God). They expire, I believe, 10 yrs after manufacture date.
