Transition to 2 under 2! Advice??

Ok I’m 31 weeks and having a scheduled c section at 39 weeks. My girl will also turn 18 months old. So I’m joining the 2 under 2 club! Getting VERY nervous! Anyone have any advice for the transition!?

I have been there done that twice. With my older kids. It’s not hard as you think. Babies tend to sleep all day except to feed and be changed. Which gives you more time for your toddler. I suggest have them color and draw pictures for you while you are tending to baby. And when your not spend time with them watching their favorite cartoon or even playing their favorite game if your body is up for it. Even have them help you when your tending to baby let them be a part of it as it will keep them from getting jealous and crave attention. Good luck ladies. It’s also best to always pick a time for naps for older baby so that you can too rest.

I can't give advice about 18 month olds, because my daughter will turn 3 when this baby pops out, but we have been mentally preparing her for a newborn, by hanging out with friends with small children, and talking to her about sharing, newborns and helping mumma out, etc. We also bought some books about being a big sister.
 I am planning to spend at least 15 minutes alone time with my daughter every day in the early stages when little one is born, and then we can have more one on one time as I heal from my scheduled c section. 
Dad will be the primary caretaker for my daughter short term, so he is spending more time with her and doing bathtimes and bedtimes in preparation for this. 
Either way, I think every age difference comes with its challenges. I wish I could have had a baby sooner and had 2 under 2. 😊
