Does it get easier ?

Those of you who have returned to work ? Today was my first day back , my son is 10 months and I am now regretting my decision to return to work and wish I would have just continued to stay home longer . I knew I would miss him but I didn’t think it would be THIS hard 😕

It does get easier, I put my daughter in daycare for 3 half days before returning to work. The first day I cried for most of the time she was gone, the next couple days were easier and now I've been back to work for a week and she's been having fun at daycare, drop offs are getting easier too.

My son is 3 and I still regret my decision. It never got better for me, constant feeling of being guilty :(

I was going through it with ny daughter... She was one and my gut was telling me she's too young. I wasn't listening and corona came... so she was  going when the day care was open... but with the breaks it wasn't great for her at all... on the other hand- I really wanted her to learn the language (she will be bilingual) and to have contact with children (again corona- made us stay away from other people...or them stay away from us)
So now I think her personality is rather stoping her from having fun than anything else (she is shy, closed, keeping to herself). So it was a good decision to give her the opportunity to work on the skills she will need in life (being with others, communication, fighting for herself and so on)
If you have ro work- it's just what it is- try to focus on good stuff, look for sign that your child is learning, having fun, gets to know other children, growing...
My mum always says- if it was your choice, you wouldn't let her go ever, not when she'll be 5, or 15, or 35.... you have to let her live her life (and however funny it sounds, when said about 2-year-old- that's the truth...)

Yes, it absolutely does. The first week or so is the worst.
