May of 2019 I had to say goodbye to my 13 yr old daughter for the last time

Renee • Due 8-2020. Mother of an Angel. 4-20-06 to 5-30-19. #AlexisVoice.

We had tried before she passed away, but didn't succeed until later that year. I found out the day after Thanksgiving. I hadn't felt good all day thinking it was because that was one of "our" holidays and I was missing her.

Nope!!! I had a feeling it was a girl immediately. I just knew. I struggled the whole pregnancy to cope with everything. When I got the results that it was a girl, I felt like she had blessed me with another, not to take her place, but to help heal us. Her passing was very traumatic to us all. I chose to go to the same doctors office that I had her at, across the street from the children's hospital we said goodbye. I wanted good memories there, not just sad.

Fast forward to the end of my pregnancy, we had hoped for 8-4-20 for her birthday. At midnight, I started going into labor. At 6:46am Jenica Calex was born on 8-4-20. It was like she was there with little signs. Alexis was born 4-20-06 at 6:46pm. Jenica looks every bit just like her sister too... Years ago I had asked her how many babies I would have. She told me it would be 6. Here we are on our surprise, and final child, #6.

*** I originally wrote this a comment on a post... how we got here 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you look up Alexis Shirley, Maryville, TN. There are multiple articles and video clips on her story. Take the advice, don't go in the waters near a low head dam. She was NO WHERE CLOSE to the dam, she was in waist deep water that was calm and had tons of other children swimming in it. There was a current that we couldn't see, and the fact that the water was extremely low that day.... it was stronger than usual. It is a extremely popular spot that now has warning signs and I'm working on having repairs or something done to prevent future drownings. She died exactly 1 yr to the day from the last person who drown there. I've posted about this on here before too.

I want to thank y'all for the kind words and all the amazing people I've met from this app that have helped me through our journey.

I feel like I need to clarify that this is my 6th pregnancy, but now 4th baby. Sister is up there taking care of everyone.
