Depo shot??

Question

So I just wanted to get some advice on the depo shot. Is it a good choice for birth control or the IUd? I’m definitely not trying to get pregnant my son is 2 months. What type of bc has worked best?

I hated drop. Similar to another poster, I was moody and depressed with no sex drive, expect I spotted almost constantly and that was annoying. I think everyone reacts differently so it’s hard to really know!

Very different types of BC! 
The depot shot is super easy but is recommended that you not stay one it for over a year due to the black box warning of bone density loss. But it can totally eliminate periods while giving excellent contraceptive. 
There are different IUD. The copper one will increase mensural bleeding and cramps but can be left in place for 10 years. Mirena is a hormone BC, can be left in place for 6 years, and lessen or eliminate periods, and works well against pregnancy. 
Definitely talk to your doctor and do your own research. I’m on my 3rd Mirena (LOVE IT) and will have it for the next 6 years until I stop BC completely because of my risk for blood clots as I age. I had it before I got pregnant with my first and in between my two kids. No issue with getting it removed and getting pregnant within 6 months.

I had it for two years and didn’t get one period the whole time. I had absolutely no sex drive the whole time and my husband said I was a moody bitch the whole time.
Worst birth control I’ve been on.
I personally likes the implanon (rod) but I took it out after a couple of months because I kept getting spotting every two weeks and I was going on a massive four month holiday through Europe and didn’t want to deal with that while away around water.
I’ve also been on the pill and also hated that.
