Swimming

My FIL is mad at me because I wouldn’t let my son in the pool without me. I just didn’t feel comfortable with it. I’ll let him hold in and stuff when I’m also in the pool but sometimes he doesn’t pay attention and puts his face too low and he gets water in his mouth (this happened a bunch of times already) so now he thinks I’m being difficult that I won’t let my son be in the pool without me (he’s 1) people can think I’m a bitch but he’s my son and what I say goes and I just don’t feel comfortable with it. I’m very over  protective because I’ve lost a child before
