A week ago I was diagnosed with a short cervix measuring 1.6. I was put on light activity and progesterone for a week but I pretty much have put myself on bed rest except for picking my 12 yo daughter up from school and going to doctor’s appointments. With 1 grocery shopping trip. When I was seen today it has gotten shorter and is measuring at 1.0.

The doctor said they didn’t feel comfortable placing stitches after 24 weeks so they suggested the cervical Pessary. Which is a ring around the cervix. I’m also still on progesterone suppositories and now bed rest with light ability to get up and make a sandwich but not be up longer than 10 minutes.

This is new to me. Hoping to hear positive stories.
