Can progesterone determine pregnancy?

What does these numbers mean? Can this number determine if I’m pregnant or not? I went in yesterday for a blood test to see if I ovulated and this were the results.

You’re in your luteal phase.
Only a pregnancy test can tell you if you’re pregnant or not.
Your level of progesterone is normal in the luteal phase and in pregnancy so there’s no way to know without a pregnancy test.

I’m assuming this was performed on CD21? At this point, your levels are only a good indication that you ovulated, and you are truly in your Luteal phase. The only way to determine pregnancy is by taking a pregnancy test, ultrasounds or by checking your blood for HCG. If this was done on CD21, even if you conceived, it’s likely you haven’t even experienced implantation yet.

Progesterone does not determine pregnancy. All it does is confirm ovulation. A level of 16.6 means ovulation DID occur. You would need to wait and take a pregnancy test to determine pregnancy. Progesterone is produced regardless if pregnancy occurs or not.
