Question... Stupid but asking anyway

So I'm trying to conceive my 4th baby.

When ur period starts for tracking do u start when u see the spotting or when u start bleeding bleeding cus I spotted barley anything only when wiping for like 2 days not even a linner needed. But when I got up this morning and was trying to get moving it gushed down both legs. Did my period start today or technically 2 days ago. I usually don't have spotting before my period. It's rare so I've never really needed to umm.. ask . Sorry I know it sounds stupid after having so many already 🙄😟
