First of all…I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THE BS!!! IF YOU HAVE NOTHING POSITIVE TO SAY, WITH ALL DO RESPECT, PLEASE JUST SCROLL PAST THIS POST!

I was 38+3 today and just overall tired of being pregnant; tired of the pain, tired of the depression, and tired of not feeling like myself! My doctor did a membrane sweep at 38 weeks and it seemed nothing was happening! So I decided to try the Midwives Brew! Bought all of the ingredients on Thursday and drank it at around 10 pm that night!! By 2:00 am I was having contractions that were so uncomfortable, I decided to time them! The app I used encouraged me to head to the hospital because of the frequency of the contractions, so I did! I was so disappointed when they told me I was only 4 cm dilated and sent me home. After that, I went home and got some sleep and contractions completely stopped. But I wasn’t taking no for an answer lol. So I walked a ton on Friday and drank another serving of the Midwives Brew at about 11:00 pm. At 6:00 am this morning, my contractions were absolutely unbearable—I knew I was in labor!! This was it!! I Arrived at L&D around 7 am with contractions so painful that I was in tears! My wife was such a HUGE support btw! Couldn’t have done this without her! Anyway…it felt like the nurses were taking forever to admit me (I was 5 cm dilated). The pain was excruciating! I was practically begging for relief! I ended up having a contraction so strong, that my water broke! HUGE gush like in the movies lol. After that…contractions were disrespectfully painful!!!!! They finally got me to a room and I immediately demanded an epidural— there was absolutely no way I could give birth without one! By this time, I was 6 cm dilated (I progressed quickly). By 9 am, I received the epidural and was able to get some relief after about 20 minutes of getting it done. Thank GOD! God personally created the epidural, I swear lol! After I started getting comfortable, all that I felt was pressure; I was in heaven! I progressed to 9.5 cm dilated fairly quickly and by 11:20 a.m., I was pushing!!!

Shiyann Nicole was born at 11:47 a.m., weighing 6 lbs, 4.5 oz and 20 inches long!! She is everything we prayed she would be! She is healthy and born without any complications and eating like a f***ing champ haha! Good luck to you mamas that are still pushing through your pregnancy even though you’re EXHAUSTED!! And congratulations to the mamas that have already had their babies💕❤️💕

**I did not post this to encourage anyone to try the Midwives brew. I am simply just telling MY story🙃
