crying?

okay mommas im in dire need of some advice.

my little one is 5 weeks and 3 days, up until i’d say the 22 of this month he’s been a fairly quiet baby. he’d only whine when hungry or sleepy. he became gassy so i switched his formula to one that helps with gas and i’ve been giving him gas drops, although the gas never really seemed to bother him. the past 4 days though he has had fits of just screaming/crying in the evening. he doesn’t want his bottle, pacifier, to be in his swing, doesn’t need a diaper change or anything like that. he will fall asleep and wake up as soon as he’s out just absolutely screaming. i’ve tried rocking him in a dark room with a fan for white noise and just about everything else you could think of and nothing helps except for putting him in the car.

anywho has anyone else had this issue? was there something actually wrong or is he just at that age where crying peaks? could he be overtired?
