Start of period or implantation ??

Hey ladies im a little confused .. I am due for AF tomorrow and today I had a little spotting it was reddish/brown but I also noticed it was a little stringy like cervical mucus was mixed in with it ? I can't recall having this before at the start of a period ... Could this be implantation bleeding or possibly just older blood starting to shed ??
