Can you have preeclampsia without high blood pressure?

We’ve been on a little mini vacation this weekend and my feet and face have been pretty swollen. I didn’t pack a bp cuff because we were only gone for a couple days and it has always been within normal range, but I’ve been so swollen and miserable. Could it be preeclampsia??

YES. YES YES YES. I had preeclampsia bad and my blood pressure was almost always within normal range AND I had no protein in my urine. My doctor let me go so many times after I told him I thought I had it. Labor and delivery almost sent me home, too. Then they checked my blood and I had it!

Thry diagnoose preeclampsia of you have more than one symprom on the list. So you can have one if you have protein in urine and swelling but no high blood pressure. Altough it could develop.

I don’t know the answer but my last pregnancy I got really swollen feet and face for days-weeks and had normal blood pressure and never got diagnosed as having preeclampsia. That’s just my experience though. Would definitely ask your Dr about it.
