Question

My son is a big boy, he is 5.5 months old and 21 pounds! His Chico infant car seat seems to be getting snug for him. 
What should I transition him into??

Nuna RAVA is truly a fantastic car seat. My son has zero complaints going in it. It seems comfy and also has a higher rear facing weight limit, which was important for me. We have one in each car!

Since he in a higher percentile, try to find a car seat with a 50lb rear facing weight limit. This will allow you to keep him rear facing for as long as possible vs. a seat with only a 40lb rear facing limit. The Extend2Fit is my personal favorite but there are others out there too.

I really like the graco contender 65. You really don’t need all the fancy stuff. The graco 4ever has weird sized cup holders that don’t fit most water bottles. And the arm rests are tall and as kiddo gets bigger it’s more difficult to get them in until they can climb in themselves. 
I also like the graco nautilus because it’s the the contender but it does not rear face so I don’t recommend till after 2 at the earliest.

We have used ours since my girl was 5 months old. She’s now almost 2, about 22 lbs, still rear facing (will be for as long as we can). We love this seat! The price is great so we bought an extra for grandmas car. They go on sale at target often.

This is the seat we’ve had our girl in since she was around 4 months.
She hated the newborn seat, she’s much happier in this one.
