Was he was wrong for that? I thought it was normal. My kids father said no and my other friend said the same but he'd done so much I thought that's what parents do.
N yeah he would wait by the street and tell them something when I would get home late.
Then he would tell me something when I got inside

I think a good majority of parents arent as involved in their childrens lives like parents use to be so i can see why a lot of ppl would thibk its crossing a line. Should he be confronting ur friends no should he be confronting u for disobeying his rules that im sure weree very clear yes. Unless it was a boyfriend taking u on a date and bringing you home late, in which case yeah id say something.

My dad did. He was very “i don’t care about other peoples rules, these are mine.” So if I went out with friends he would tell them we had to be back by a certain time and if we weren’t, he’d confront the both of us, not just my friend. But he viewed it as if you agree to something (being home at a certain time) you stick to it and if you don’t, you have to answer for it. He was always calm and collected, but definitely would put us in our places and made sure we were held accountable. Honestly my friend who got my dad’s lectures the most often said she actually really appreciated it. My husband (then boyfriend) also said he plans on doing the same thing because he also admired my dad for the way he handled it.

Do you mean he’s interrogating your friends basically for why you’re coming home late, he’s trying to see what you’re really up to, it’s one thing to interrogate her boyfriend, to find out what his intentions are, it’s a different story to interrogate and threaten your friends.
