Do you cry with fiction?

Watching a show, a movie, reading a book? My parents never did and so I thought that once I would become an adult and have children I wouldn't either. However, I still do. They would say it's fiction, not reality, so there is nothing to be crying about. Growing up they didn't have a TV, so I don't know if that makes a difference, but they are like that with all fiction, so I don't know.

Bonus question: if you do cry do you try to hold it and what do you say to your children when they see you crying because of something you are watching?
