Rolling Over Ruining Naps

Lauren

We had been making good progress with my daughter learning to fall asleep on her own for naps without having to be fed to sleep. But now that she has figured out that she can roll over onto her belly in the crib, she rolls whenever I try to put her down and then cries for me to come flip her back onto her back. Even after I do, she’s still upset and won’t fall asleep, and just does it again. So now I can only get her to nap if she’s already asleep when I put her down. She rolled from belly to back a few times weeks ago but hasn’t really been doing it since then, so she hasn’t figured out that she can roll back by herself. Is anyone dealing with anything similar? Has anything you’ve tried helped? Do I just have to put her down for all her naps dead asleep until she knows how to roll back by herself? It just feels like a step backwards, but I don’t want her to be exhausted.
