Making black hair lighter without bleach?

So I had dyed my hair black and I want to go lighter but without bleach like a light brown I don’t want to go to a salon at the moment since I don’t have the money right now for that so can anyone help me.. what volume should I use to go lighter??

You can strip out the artificial color and should be left with your original color (probably slightly different due to pigment damage). But otherwise, the only way to go lighter is to buy a lightener of some kind. I use a keratin infused lightening cream mixed with 20 vol developer, and then purple shampoo to tone.
