I’m donating my eggs for the second time around, and I’m curious what kind of side effects other egg donors have experienced. For me, I’ve been really bloated, tired, have a hard time holding my bladder for very long, and I can feel my ovaries slowly swelling up, but it’s not painful, just tender and sensitive. Tender injection sites, headache, and emoooootional, but only about my cat 😂 I’m a little nervous about how my second egg retrieval will go since I had a really painful recovery from my first cycle.

Some backstory for any interested: my husband and I don’t want kids, and I love to try to give back to my community any way that I can, and I figure any pain I might experience while giving to someone in need will be nothing compared to how much I’ll be helping somebody. As for how I feel about my biological kids growing up in the world without me, I am more than fine with not knowing them, buuuuut if they end up finding me on AncestryDNA or something similar down the road, I’ll be happy to meet them and have a relationship with them if they want it!
