pathetic single mom

Love it when random ass men make comments about how “pathetic” single moms are. 🙄 First of all, I didn’t do this to myself, I sure as hell didn’t have a baby with somebody I loved just for him to leave me. I didn’t want or plan for any of this, but shit happens. People turn out not to be who you thought they were, and that’s okay bc while he’s living his life doing whatever he wants and forgetting that he has a child, I’m the one who gets to watch this beautiful baby grow up. Although my situation isn’t ideal, I am not the one who got the short end of the stick. I got something far more precious than he’ll ever have. So no, single moms are not pathetic. They’re strong, and they’re awesome for stepping up and taking on both roles. Single moms don’t get the option in if they want to be a parent or not, we wake up and we take care of our babies. We don’t get breaks, we don’t get to do whatever we want, we have to tend to our babies - we GET to tend to our babies. So call me pathetic, but I think us single moms are pretty bad ass. These men that try to bring us down for being single moms are the pathetic ones bc they couldn’t do half of what we do and when it comes down to it they probably wouldn’t. I believe all of us will find the perfect man someday to step up and love us AND our babies.
