Cervix question

Call me weird of whatever. But I felt my cervix for the first time yesterday lol. I know a lot of women do this to see if it’s open or closed. However I couldn’t really tell if mine was open or closed because I have no idea what It’s supposed to feel like.

Can anyone give me any guidance on what it is supposed to feel like? Open or closed? I have a pap scheduled for Wednesday to talk to my doctor because my period is late by 9 days as of today. I have no clue if I ovulated this cycle. I’m pretty sure I did because I had CM & discharge about a week after my miscarriage/period. I know my cycle can be thrown out of wack after a miscarriage (this is why I’m going to the doctor) I’m just hoping someone can give me some insight on this.
