When will my period start when taking Provera?

Hi everyone! I am currently on CD 61 and have been taking 20mg of Provera for 6 days to start my period. My doctor said to take it for 7 days and then contact him if I don’t bleed within 7 days of taking the last tablet. I did not ovulate last cycle so am hoping to bleed so I can start Clomid ASAP. I would love some guidance, suggestions, or advice on when I may expect to bleed? I don’t want to give up hope but I’m starting to think I won’t bleed with Provera. What has been other people’s experiences? Thank you!

I took 10 tablets, and started bleeding within 2-3 days of the last one.

Any bleeding even spotting would be considered a period, usually within 2 weeks after provera is given. You should start bleeding between days 2-7 after you take your last pill. I took provera once because of abnormal periods and have been taking clomid 100 mg since last June with strict doctors appointments to check for tumors and cysts. Everybody’s body is different but it should be between days 2-7. I hope it helps.
