‘Simple fainting’
Yesterday, my boyfriend complained about having stomach cramps. It was very sudden - 2 mins later, he got up to go to the bathroom, and on his way he fainted. It wasn’t like just falling over, it looked like he was having a heart attack or a seizure. His skin went completely white and his pupils got so big you couldn’t see the blue in his eyes anymore. It was terrifying, and he was unresponsive for 15 seconds maybe. When he woke up, he was nauseous, and had bowel pain. He went to the hospital, and it seemed it happened because his blood pressure kept dropping randomly.
Yesterday, we ate NOTHING that could’ve given him food poisoning. He has no medical history that has anything to do with anything like this. He is a healthy 29 year old man.
Can anyone advise me, how do I help him? Compression socks? Caffeine or no caffeine? Can he work out? Can he drink alcohol? The dr called it ‘simple fainting, fainting just happens sometimes’ but I’m scared:(
Also, if this has happened to anyone else, especially in males (apparently it’s way more common in females) please let me know. Any advice I would really appreciate, I’m so scared there’s a problem (he did all kinds of tests, and everything apart from his blood pressure came back fine, I’m just worried)
Thanks all ❤️
