They want to put my son through shock therapy

I have a 15 year who is in a mental hospital. He dealt with years of sexual aggression since ye was 8 and we had him in therapy but his father was very controlling if his therapy. I think now he was telling our son not to say certain things in therapy because it's come to light he was sexually abused by my ex's grandparents. My son is in a mental hospital for trying to rape his step sister, which I hate saying. It destroys me every time I say it. Court ruled that my child is pretty much insane. I talk to him over the phone and they have him on so many meds that he's a completely different person. He's been diagnosed with several things. One of them being dissociative amnesia. He doesn't remember trying to rape her. He doesn't remember quite a few things and they told me he dissociated, which I still don't quite don't understand dissociation. Recently they told me they want to try shock therapy. I dont know a lot about shock therapy. That sounds terrifying. Also I heard it can cause amnesia, so wouldn't it make his dissociative amnesia worse? Maybe I should do more research on shock therapy but it just sounds like theyre gonna turn his brains to mush!
