What to expect at first Ultrasound and first prenatal visit?

I’m curious what I should expect at these visits? My ultrasound is at 8 weeks and my first prenatal visit with my doc is at 11 weeks. Should my boyfriend come to both? His work schedule is funny so we are trying to figure out if he should come to one or the other or both?

Scans are very simple they messure baby make sure he or she are growing properly and especially in the right place, they also check to make sure they can see a heartbeat and tell you exactly how many weeks you are based of how long baby is from head to toe.having scans are an amazing experience you and partner can share together especially if baby is active he will get to see baby moving around. With the prenatal appointments that's mostly based on checking blood pressure, weight height, urine sample and bloods. Both appointments are just making sure you and baby are healthy and doing great partner don't really need to go to the prenatal appointments but can do if you choose to.

At the first ultrasound they check if gestational sac is present and if there is a heartbeat ,they also measure the foetus to see if it's growing as expected . You will also see the little bean for the first time 💓
It's really optional here but feels good to have him around .
for the prenatal visit ,in the Netherlands they took details of all our medical history , family medical history , any complaints that I had ( think bloating ,cramps ), ask away all the questions u have , explained about NIPT and what all ultrasounds can be done .
So  I would suggest the bf to be present for this one  as you might not know.his + family's medical history
