How long did your induced labor take?

I spent 36 hours in labor between cervadil, a cervical catheter, pitocin, and the peanut ball, amd had a c section in the end due to failure to progress, an epidural that didn’t work, and baby stopped tolerating labor. I thought it would have been a smoother process, and i have no idea how much longer it would have gone on if we didn’t end up having surgery instead.

I was induced Sunday evening at 6 pm on 4/19/20 then finally had my baby Tuesday at 6:33 am on 4/21/20. My little guy didn’t wanna come out lol. Also his heart rate kept dropping so they had to stop my Pitocin a few times. My body also didn’t want to contract anymore without pitocin so it was a struggle for sure 😅

Pitocin at 11am Thursday morning. Had her at 7am Friday morning.

Went in at 7pm. They planned to ripen and soften my cervix overnight and start the pitocin in the morning. Baby had other plans and wanted out. She was born at 3:30am.

I got hooked up to pitocin at 7am and had my baby at 2pm. 😋 but the day before I had cervidil inserted which had to stay in for 12 hours.

I went in at 5am was hooked up and started meds around 6am had my baby girl at 5:12pm.

When do you consider the start of labor when you’re induced? If you start when I arrived at the hospital and started receiving the suppository, it would be around 20 hours. But it was only about 7-8 hours after I started on Pitocin (I don’t remember exactly when I got that first dose).

I had the pessary put in about 3-4pm I believe, it made my son's heartrate drop so they took it out broke my waters and he was born at 9.05pm
