What could this be?

Hey everybody, 
So I just noticed my 16 month olds toe. She’s had shoes on all morning due to being out, it was not like that when I put them on her this morning. She is running around & walking perfectly fine & when I press on it or move it she does not wince or act like it hurts at all. Should I worry? Or just watch it? What could cause this? She had on the mesh sneakers.

Coulda been too tight or has a little bug bite on that toe since its the only one inflamed and red

Did she have socks on with her shoes? Could have had a loose thread get wrapped around her toe that you didn’t notice or shoes were too tight. I’d just keep an eye on it if it gets anymore swollen then call doc but it should be fine and return back to its normal color once the swelling goes down.

Mine had a red toe like that, it took about a week for the redness to go down and when it did the toenail fell off. It healed up fine on its own. I'm thinking it was infection and/or she dropped something heavy  on her toe
