Is it okay to take a newborn outside?

I wanted to take my son out to the park but he isn’t even a month old and I didn’t know if it was a good idea so I didn’t take him out.

My daughters first month she went to the zoo, water world, and camping for 3 days in Nebraska… we live in Colorado so weather is always crazy. Just dress them appropriate.

Normally for things like the park, yes.
An example of not "normal"- I live in Paris and was advised not to take her using the subway (the most common mode of transportation here) for the first 2 months because it can get very crowded and congested underground.

It’s fine as long as baby is dressed appropriately and be out of direct sunlight. Sunscreen isn’t usually a good idea as infants are more sensitive to it and are more likely to experience a reaction like a rash, so finding a shady spot (or making one) is ideal.

Depending on the weather it's absolutely fine, I wouldn't be going out of it's insanely hot but otherwise just dress for the weather.

Of course it’s fine… I would go insane if I didn’t take my kids outside. We went out with them each at like 5 days old. Parks, malls, stores 🤷🏻‍♀️
